It is an introduction to the diversity and richness of English Literature of the United States of America. This Course will discuss the Northern American flavour of English literature, as distinct from British English literature.
It covers a time span from the early-nineteenth century beginning with the Transcendentalists, and explores several writers across literary periods such as- Realism, Naturalism, Modernism, Black-American literature, Feminist literature and others.
