1.In this course students learn the characteristics of Mahakavya.
2. Introduction to Magha, author of Sisupalavadha mahakavam.
3. First 50 slokas of second canto of Magha kavyam is taught. For each
sloka word meaning, translation, explanation and grammar are taught,.
4. 5-15 lessons from First Book of Sanskrit, authored by R.G. Bhandarkar,
are prescribed in the course under Translation part. Students are
given instructions regarding the translation.
5. Prescribed five alankaras are taught with respect to definition, explanation
and examples.
